Here is what I've been up to lately ...
1. Sitting on the beach for 2.5 days and actually feeling at peace
2. Working 10-15 hours a day, 6-7 days a week
3. Running - the peachtree (10K in about 57 minutes), and my longest run yet (10 miles in about 1:50). Currently hoping one of my toenails stays attached.
4. Feeding Tiger chicken and hoping he is not in pain as his days with us wind down :(
5. Hourly rate of thinking "I can't handle this any more": 1-2
6. Daily rate of thinking "I hate my life right now" and then immediately regretting it b/c I know I have it good - 1-2
7. Watching the tour de france and hoping people are actually racing clean this year
8. Not training for my triathlon on Sunday
9. Seeing Chris for an hour or two a day, max
10. Being so grateful for Chris and our/my friends who understand why I've been MIA lately or what it feels like to be a grad student
11. Teaching teachers about weather and climate
12. Heckling the gator fan in the teachers course
13. Writing an article about pollution during the Beijing Olympic Games for the AGU Newsletter
14. Making my defense presentation for the practice run on Monday
15. Turning in my thesis to my committee members!! (Saved the best for last) :) Counting down till August 4, 12 PM when I will be done.
Still at the dept, time for bed!

I know that I am super stressed and sometimes I think "I hate my life right now" but really I dont ... I am miserable but I still like my life ... how is this possible? I guess I would have to say that being friends with you (and a few other atmos grad students) makes my life freaking awesome and amazing!! you are almost done!
